Rick Cohen, Assistant Superintendent, presented the 8 Year STEM Plan at the July 17, 2018 Board of Education meeting.
Homework is recognized as an appropriate and valid academic activity when it is assigned within appropriate pedagogical guidelines that recognize the needs of the whole child. Homework is considered any assignment that is to be completed by students outside of the normal class schedule.

With “egregious” out-of-district placement increases for special education students, the Metuchen School District is looking at ways to become more inclusive.
Kathy Glutz used the word “very” twice when describing the youth of her Metuchen High School girls’ basketball team.

Glutz, Metuchen’s coach, starts a freshman, two sophomores, a junior and a senior in her lineup. There are only two seniors on the entire squad.
